Police arrested a driver for OWI after officers say he hit a UW-Stout student who was crossing a street on foot.

Menomonie Police officers say they arrested 23-year-old Isaac Storandt of Menomonie just after midnight Friday morning. The university says 24-year-old Michael Dixon was crossing South Broadway Street near Price Commons. That's when officers say Storandt's car hit Dixon. Police say Dixon is in the hospital with broken legs, cuts, and bruises. Officers say he's in stable condition. Storandt is also a student at UW-Stout.
