A western Wisconsin department store is closing, leaving 39 employees without a job.
INFORMATION FROM THE STATE:
Attached is a WARN notice received today, March 12, 2010.
JCPenney, Stevens Point -- Filed notice that it will close its store located in the Center Point Marketplace, 1200 2nd Street, Stevens Point, on May 31, 2010. The closing will affect approximately 39 employees with layoffs to between May 17 and May 31. DWD's regional partner, the North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, is providing rapid response services to the affected workers.
