Discounts for Military Families
An Eau Claire business manager is looking for some help from the community as he spearheads a project to help some area military families.
Jeff Julson, a Mega convenience store manager and former national guardsman, is sending out "Mega Guard Cards" to about 100 families with loved ones overseas. Members are from the 128th infantry and 264th engineer battalion, based in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.
The cards off discounts, free items, or free or discounted labor from a handful of area businesses.
Julson says other businesses can get involved by calling 836-8710.
