Local authorities have been contacted about two separate incidents involving a company identified as Joles Paving, offering "deals" to residents by suggesting they need their driveways paved with blacktop, but skipping out when residents paid them up front, or doing a sub-standard job.
Officials warn people the transients will approach them with an offer.
Cindy White of the Consumer Protection Agency says, "They'll look for homes where the blacktop needs some general care. They'll try and search out people they feel they can take advantage of."
The group is traveling in a black truck with the Wisconsin truck plate of 96-75-55.
White warns that if people feel they have been taken in, to call their local law enforcement.
