Humane Association Breaks Ground
The manager at the Chippewa County Humane Association says they don't have enough money for a new building just yet, but they're breaking ground anyway.
A ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon for construction of a new shelter, to be located directly behind the existing facility.
The shelter's manager says they're trying to raise $350,000. Over $200,000 has been received so far.
