A group of Eau Claire city and county leaders met on community television Friday afternoon to continue the debate over a new justice center or jail site.
They said it was a way to get their opinions out and share the facts they know about the downtown and off-site options.
Sheriff Ron Cramer was at the debate and says he wanted to stay neutral, but he can't just sit back and let inaccurate information get out, "We're working towards a goal to reduce criminal activity and recidivism in this community. But we have to stay together. We can't segment."
There will be a referendum on the spring election ballot asking people which site they prefer at this point.
