On Monday, a search committee selected Kevin Reilly to head the University of Wisconsin System. Reilly is currently the chancellor of the UW Extension.

Reilly beat out two other finalists to lead a system that includes more than 160,000 students on 13 four-year campuses, 13 two-year campuses and the UW Extension.

Former Congressman Steve Gunderson of Osseo and The State University of New York Vice Chancellor Elizabeth Capaldi were also finalists.

The search committee has to be approved by the full Board of Regents. That vote is expected to take place Thursday.
