Fire crews from five different agencies responded to a fire on the Beaudette farm around 7:30 a.m., just outside of Tilden. The fire started on one end of the barn during the morning milking and then quickly spread through the hay loft.
When fire crews arrived the whole east end of the barn was engulfed in flames. Neighbors from miles around came to help out, bringing water, food, and general supplies such as cattle trailers to move the calves to a neighbor’s barn.
David and Danny Adams will be housing about 90 cows, pasturing them, and providing a place for them to be milked until a new barn can be constructed.
