Those who still need to pay the second half of this year's property taxes can either drop off payments at their county treasurer’s office or have them postmarked before Friday, July 30.

The Eau Claire County treasurer says it's really worth your while to get those payments in on time. "You come in on August 1st or 2nd and your tax bill is $1000, that's an extra $105. It's 10.5 percent because it goes back to February 1," says Larry Lokken.

There are also drop boxes at other locations around Eau Claire like Copps, Cub Foods, and Ron's Castle Foods.

If you have questions, contact your local county treasurer.
