Second-Hand Safety

By  |

State and federal consumer advocates want people to be wary of buying or donating items that may have been subject to safety recalls by their manufacturer.

Every year there are many products that are recalled because of safety hazards. Some of these items end up in thrift sales or are donated to second-hand stores.

Before donating, buying, or using a questionable product be sure to check with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or the Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
