Ethanol Plant Gets Grant

On Tuesday Secretary Nilsestuen presented a $29,000 grant to Ace Ethanol for their work to try and create new revenue for the state of Wisconsin.

The new revenue will be a $10 million facility that will be used to extract high grade sugar from corn.

The sugar will be for special diets and health care uses in the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries.

Officials say the facility is the first of its kind and will be completed in fall of 2005.
