The eight inches of rain that fell in some parts of southern Wisconsin over the last three days will bring back an unwanted pest -- mosquitoes. So says a University of Wisconsin Extension Entomologist.
The mosquito population so far this summer has been relatively low because of the dry conditions.
The scientist says the insect eggs have likely been laying dormant, waiting for sufficient water to hatch.
