U.S. Senate Candidate Visits Chippewa Falls

U.S. Republican Senate candidate Tim Michels of Waukesha stopped in Chippewa Falls on Thursday as part of his statewide campaign swing dubbed the "new leadership tour."

Michels toured the Premium Waters Plant and afterward spoke to supporters emphasizing the importance of small businesses and job creation.

Michels pointed to his experience as the owner of Michels Corporation, the largest construction company in the state, as proof he's a guy who, "just doesn't talk about creating jobs" but does it.

Michels called job creation his number one issue but also detailed his support for the war in Iraq and the renewal of the Patriot Act as other top priorities.
