Xcel Energy is helping farmers get up to date with their electrical systems.
It's called the farm rewiring program and it was started a year and a half ago to help farmers out with the cost of rewiring their farm.
Xcel offers up to $8,000 dollars in grant money and $19,000 dollars in low interest loans to farmers with active livestock.
Farmers can apply for the grant and loan by contacting Xcel Energy.
Officials say the need for the upgrade is because farms are expanding but their electrical systems are not.
Officials say so far 30 farms have been rewired and the number of jobs has out grown the number of electricians causing a wait list.
