Rod and Gun Club Offers Camping


An Eau Claire County Committee has granted a conditional use permit to allow camping at the Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club located just east of the city.
The permit allows up to 15 campers at a time. It is valid two weekends a month between April and October when the club hosts regional shooting competitions.
The permit request faced opposition from neighbors who argued the noise from campers would be an extension of the club's operating hours.
The next event to include camping at the club will be in May.
