Security Preps for Presidential Visit

The President will speak Kell Container Corporation in Chippewa Falls Wednesday morning.

Owner John Kell call the visit a once in a lifetime chance.

"Myself and our employees consider it a great honor to have the President of the United States visit our corporation and to visit the Chippewa Valley," says Kell.

As crews are building the President's venue, Chippewa Falls Police Department is plotting the logistics of security detail, no small task on a tight budget.

"It's a very demanding task, manpower-wise and equipment-wise and at the same time, making sure that all these agencies are taking care of their normal responsibilities," says Chief Joe Coughlin.

Coughlin says security for a sitting president is much tighter and Chippewa Falls will be using all available manpower come Wednesday.

Regular daily patrols will remain fully staffed. There will also be support from the Eau Claire Police Department.
