Gas Prices Remain Consistent

Crude oil futures hit a record high $48 per barrel Friday. Some forecasters say that $50 isn't out of the question.

However, gas prices are not expected to rise, according to Erin Roth of the Wisconsin Petroleum Council.

"On the domestic side, demand for petroleum has declined and continues to decline and that's why you're seeing prices stay around the $1.90 to $2 range."

Yet Roth says that decrease in demand is not expected to drive prices down any time soon due to tensions in the Middle East and complications in the world market.
