At least six football games scheduled to be played on the new turf at Carson Park football field have officially been rescheduled.
The City of Eau Claire has announced that five high school games and one Blugold game have been moved to alternate locations due to the delay of the turf installation.
August 26 - Regis vs. Ellsworth - moved to Osseo-Fairchild High School
August 27 - Memorial vs. La Crosse Central- moved to OFHS
September 2 - Regis vs. Altoona - TBA
September 3 - Memorial vs. La Crosse Logan - TBA
September 4 - UWEC vs. St. John's University - moved to Collegeville, MN
September 10 - North vs. Chippewa Falls - TBA
That includes the much touted match-up between UW-Eau Claire and Division III national champions St. John's University, which will be held at St. John's.
Officials are expecting, with the current five person crew, the project will take at least three weeks.
Tentatively, the first game that will be played on the new turf will be the homecoming game for Memorial High School on Sept. 17, against Rice Lake.
