It was a game and scene that won't be forgotten in Stanley.

"You see many unusual games in high school athletics no matter what sport and where you're at, but this is something that I think will stay in the memory of all the people that were here, spectators, players, coaches everyone involved," Colby head coach Jeff Rosemeyer said.

Memorable not for the play on this field, but the van that invaded it.

"The offense was on the field, I was just about ready to call a play and then all of a sudden we heard it," Colby quarterback Jordan Rahm said.

"There were probably hundreds of people standing not in the stands, just standing on the sidelines a lot of people could have gotten hurt," wide receiver Michael Reischel said.

People like Stanley fan Colette Wirtala, who made a close escape.

"I looked over and I saw the van pushing into the fence and right away I knew something was wrong, I was holding my baby and I just took off running for the gate," she said.

Despite the chaos and confusion, Wirtala says no one was hurt.

"I thought it was going toward all the people that were running away and it ended up hitting the goal post," Rahm said.

Now, all that remains of the crash is the twisted metal of the fence, where a steady stream of cars passed by to view the damage. Taking in the aftermath of what quarterback Jordan Rahm calls his most memorable game.

"It was very scary, it was the most interesting that I've ever played," he said.
