Members of the Wisconsin International Trade Council Announced

A Menomonie businessman has been appointed to serve on the newly formed Wisconsin International Trade Council.

Bob Brown is the customer consultant for Chippewa Valley Bean, Inc., a company that sells about 25 percent of the nation's supply of dark red kidney beans to both national and international consumers.

Brown says he's happy to use his experience to benefit the council and the state. "I feel like it's a payback. I've been a businessman in the state for 30 years and I feel I can contribute something to it."

The council is made up of more than 25 people statewide that will provide consultation to the state and help develop international trade among Wisconsin businesses.

Brown is the only member of the council from western Wisconsin.
