Packer Player Divorce Upheld in Appeals Court

The Third District Court of Appeals in Wausau has ruled in favor of Packers running back Ahman Green in his divorce.

The judges said Green's former wife was treated fairly in their divorce a year ago, and isn't entitled to a monthly maintainence payment of $20,000. The appeals court rejected Shalynn Green's claims that child and maintainence payments were inadequate.

Instead, as court records reveal, she will get a house in Nebraska. The NFL star must put one-and-a-half million dollars into a trust fund for his two daughters in addition to a $350,000 education fund. Green is ordered to pay his ex-wife $1,000 a month for the next two years. The children also receive $15,000 a year for extracurricular activities.

Green will earn 3.6 million dollars this year.
