Every year thousands of country music fans fill the Country Jam grounds in Eau Claire.
The chairs will soon go from empty to jam packed.
"We usually see about 22,000-25,000 people come in each day," Event organizer Kathy Wright said.
Crowds will descend on the grounds, requiring months of planning and days of set-up.
"It takes about two and a half days to get everything set up," Dick Rowe said as he put up signs on the grounds.
"I'm pretty much just cleaning everything down, sanitizing, bleaching and making sure everything's clean," Rachel Miller said.
With all of the hard work that goes into this event, weather never ceases to make an impact on the weekend.
"The one that created the most nightmares for us was a lot of rain in 2008 with the 2.2 inches of rain in 77 minutes," Wright said.
Wright says strong winds, lightning and extreme heat is the worst weather conditions to have at the festival, all of which jam goers have experienced in the past.
This weekend's weather looks to be calmer, but either way organizers say there's always a plan B.
"If it starts raining we take cover for a little while. Then as soon as it quits we kinda come out and we have you know piles and piles of woodchips on standby. We have road graders on standby just basically ready to go," Wright added.
Now anticipation is high for another weekend of country music and fun.
"At some point in time I take a moment and walk out on stage during one of our headliners and just see the sea of people. It's really cool when we can turn the lights on and everything works," she said.
A tradition of setting up and enjoying the show people say they plan to continue.
"We love it. We do it every year," Erin Calvert said.
"I'm hoping for a day just like this. This is beautiful. It's perfect weather for the event," Rowe added.
Tickets are still available for the weekend. Wright says you can get them at the gates or if you go online you can print out your own.
The gates open at 2:00 Thursday afternoon.
