Republican candidate for Governor Scott Walker stopped by Eau Claire on Saturday to help thank volunteers making phone calls on his behalf.
Walker says he's trying to have volunteers make 65,000 calls to voters across the state. He says without the help of volunteers that number would never be reached.
Walker also talked about his plans for creating 250,000 jobs, and getting across to voters his common sense brown bag values.
“If we can take on the machine and do it in Milwaukee county,” Walker says, “there is no doubt we can take those same common sense brown bag values and apply it to state government.”
Along with the thousands of calls volunteers were also going door to door with the goal of reaching 6,500 homes to get the word out about Scott Walker's campaign.
