The dog days of summer were still in full force on Monday in Eau Claire.
Hundreds of dogs and their owners turned out for the second annual "Doggie Swim Fest" at Fairfax Pool.
The chlorine was removed from the pool so the dogs could participate in an open swim. Canines of all shapes and sizes were invited to the event, which also included raffles, games and a costume contest.
All proceeds from the event went to raise money to add water to the existing off-leash dog park in Eau Claire.
Owners were not allowed to swim with their pets today. The dogs were the last ones to take a dip; the Fairfax Pool is now officially closed until next summer.
