Police authority

MENOMONIE, Wis (WEAU) --A Minnesota woman and her baby are safe after their car ended up on the Red Cedar River. Wisconsin State Patrol say 21 year-old Daniella Overett was driving west bound on I-94 when she dozed off. Overett told Deputies, when she awoke her car was headed toward the median just before the Red Cedar River. Her car hit the side of a bridge and went over the embankment and landed on the ice of the river. The vehicle was partially submerged but Overett was able to escape with her 23 month old daughter uninjured. The left bound lane on I-94 was closed to allow for the car to be moved.
