MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- A group of business leaders is spending a day in Madison in an effort to make the area's relationship with state lawmakers stronger.

The 20th Annual Chippewa Valley Rally is Wednesday. The Chippewa Valley Chamber Alliance, which is made up of chambers of commerce in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Menomonie, runs it. The group travels to Madison, and has meetings throughout the day with lawmakers. Governor Scott Walker addressed the group over lunch.

The goal is to discuss issues that impact the local economy and network with people who are interested in state government policy. They plan to return to the area Wednesday night.
