EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- At least one person had to be taken to the hospital after a car jumped a median and hit another car.
Eau Claire police say it happened a little before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A car was exiting highway 53 south when it jumped a median and hit a car that was driving northbound on highway 93.
It says the driver of the car that was struck suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.
Our crew on the scene saw northbound traffic on highway 93 being detoured onto highway 53 south after the crash.
Police say the driver of the striking car was cited for failure to maintain control of their vehicle and imprudent speed.
