(WEAU) - Prosecutors are dropping attempted murder charges against a Glen Flora man now that they say the victim's gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
The Taylor County district attorney says they're dismissing charges against Dusn Novakovic, 47. In May of 2010, investigators say they arrested him at the Rusk County Memorial Hospital after reports he shot Patrick Staton in the stomach. Prosecutors now say two people came forward and said Staton told them it was self-inflicted.
Prosecutors say Staton is now refusing to cooperate.
