(WEAU) - An armed robber pulled out a gun and demanded money at a gas station in Hallie on Wednesday.

The Lake Hallie Police Department says it happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Mega Holiday near the Melby exit.

Officers say an unknown man went into the store and demanded money. He had a firearm. He took off on foot with an unknown amount of money. It is believed that he fled north on Commercial Blvd in a vehicle. Dogs were called in to search the area, but the man hasn't been found yet. No one was hurt. Officers are still investigating.

A suspect description was provided. He's described as a white male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a white cloth over his face and black slack type pants.

This is the second robbery in Hallie in less than two months. On December 7, Lake Hallie Police responded to a Mega Holiday Express gas station located at 2750 120th St for a report of a robbery. Prior to officers arriving on scene, a white male suspect left the gas station at that time heading southbound on Business HWY 53 driving a blue Ford Contour. No charges have been filed in that case at this time.
