NEW INFORMATION: Arrest made in pharmacy robbery

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)--Eau Claire police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a local pharmacy.

Officers say Donald J. Mickelson went into the Value Center Pharmacy around six Wednesday night with a handgun and demanded medication. Officers say he took off with an unknown amount of medicine.

Officers from the Eau Claire Police Department and deputies from the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department responded, secured the scene and checked the area for the suspect. Within minutes, an officer identified a suspect. The detectives worked to gather additional evidence that led to his arrest.

(WEAU) - The Eau Claire Police Department says they are looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy in Eau Claire Wednesday night.

Lt. Matt Rokus with Eau Claire Police says a man entered the Value Center Health Mart pharmacy just off of Clairemont Avenue, displayed a handgun and demanded medication.

Police say the suspect did get away with some amount of prescription drugs.

He says officers are in the process of conducting interviews and analyzing the scene.

Rokus says the man is not in custody.
