NEW INFORMATION: Victims released from hospital after mud bog crash in Eau Claire Co.

(WEAU) -- All five people who were hurt during the Pioneer Days Mud Bog race near Eau Claire have been released from the hospital.

Organizers of the race say the three men, one woman and a 6-year-old boy are now out of the hospital after Saturday's "freak accident."

The Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department says a drag truck lost control, jumped the guardrail and ran into a group of spectators. It happened around 12:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park during the annual mud bog races.

The five people, including a 59-year-old man, 42-year-old man, 28-year-old man, 22-year-old woman and 6-year-old boy were hurt.

Witnesses say that some people were trapped underneath the truck but were removed by rescue crews.

Four were taken to the hospital by ambulance while one was driven by a family member.

Organizers of the annual mud bog race say they've been told all five people have been released from the hospital.

No names have yet been released from the Sheriff's Department.

(WEAU) - A drag truck jumped the guardrail at approximately 12:40pm Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park during the Pioneer Days Mud Bog races.

The Eau Claire Co. Sheriff's Department says five people were injured in the crash including:
Male 59 years of age
Male 42 years of age
Male 28 years of age
Male 6 years of age
Female 22 years of age

Deputies say the driver of the car lost control while racing and went over the guardrail into the spectators.

Witnesses say that the injured people were trapped underneath the car but were removed by rescue crews.
