BRITA Recalls Children’s Water Bottles Due to Laceration Hazard

By  |

(NBC)-- BRITA is recalling about 242,000 children's water bottles due to a possible laceration hazard.

The company says the bottle's lid can break into pieces with sharp edges. The 15 ounce bottles are six inches tall with cartoon characters, Dora the Explorer, Hello Kitty, SpongeBob Square Pants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the side.

The bottles were priced between $13 and $19 dollars and were sold at Target, Walmart and other U.S. retailers.

Consumers can return the bottles to the store or BRITA for a full refund.
