(WEAU) - A group advocating the importance of signing up for BadgerCare Plus for families rolled into Eau Claire Tuesday.
The group, called BadgerCare Express is on its second stop of a state wide tour that started in Milwaukee. At the stops, the group is distributing materials that can help people understand and sign up for the program.
Organizers say purpose of the tour is to raise awareness of the importance of healthcare programs for children.
Robert Peterson with BadgerCare Express says "Its out there, its available, all kids are eligible, and we want to make sure that we connect them to important health care coverage, because going without healthcare coverage can be a path to a lot of medical debt and a lot of family heart ache."
After Tuesday, the BadgerCare Express will also stop in Ashland, Redcliff, Green Bay, and Madison.
