BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) The Barron County Sheriff's Department says the deputy charged with domestic abuse earlier this month has resigned.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says last Thursday 31-year old Jason Hickok announced his plans to leave.

Hickok is facing multiple charges including domestic abuse and false imprisonment after an argument with his wife.

Online court records show last week Hickok waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial.
