Barstow murals find new home at Banbury Place

(WEAU) – The murals that resided on a Barstow Street building in downtown Eau Claire now have a new home.

With the sale of the building earlier this year, the city's redevelopment authority didn't want them to be destroyed, so they have been moved to the walls of Banbury Place. The area is now called the Mural Art Gallery.

In 2004, designer and artist Cecelia Cronk thought of the idea to paint the murals and got help from other local artists, builders, and local businesses to make it happen.
