Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts event at Action City
(WEAU) - Some big brothers and big sisters had some fun with their littles Thursday night at Action City.
It was the group’s annual Big/Little Action City event. Everyone got to have a pizza and soda buffet and unlimited game play for a couple of hours.
The organization says it's no coincidence the event falls on "Thank Your Mentor Day."
Development and Marketing Director Christina Thrun says they hold events like Thursday night's to give the chance for the pairs to do something a little different. Thrun told us "we hold a couple different big/little events each year to give our matches an opportunity to do something that some of them may not have an opportunity to do and the kids love it. They're all excited to play laser tag and go-karts and all the fun stuff here."
More than 100 people came out to get in on the good time.
