BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU) -- People in Bloomer took some time Thursday night to dedicate their new school building.
The Bloomer School District dedicated their new $17 million elementary school. Voters passed a referendum in the spring of last year to build the new school.
State Superintendent, Dr. Tony Evers attended the event Thursday night.
Bloomer Superintendent Mary Randall told us about some of the new features of the school.
"We have a beautiful integrated library", Randall said. "We have a connected services in each hallway for our students...beautiful shared spaces for our kids, so high school kids can help our little ones and can mentor and nurture them. We're very excited."
The first day of class at the new school is September 3rd.
