NEW INFORMATION: Death of man near Barron considered "suspicious in nature"

BARRON, Wis. (BARRON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE) -- On Monday March 10, 2014 at 12:32am the Barron County Sheriff’s Dept received a call of a possible deceased male at a residence in the Town of Clinton. Deputies from the Barron County Sheriffs Dept responded to the scene and did locate a 33yr old male whose death is suspicious in nature.

At this time the investigation is being ruled a suspicious death and the incident remains active and ongoing by the Barron County Sheriff’s Department with the help of the Barron County Medical Examiner, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Department of Criminal Investigation.

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) --Investigators have found a man's body at a home early Monday morning.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department responded to a home in the Town of Clinton, which is west of Barron, around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Deputies found the body of a 33-year-old man. A news release from the department did not identify the man, or give the address where he was found.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald would not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the man's death late Monday morning. He did say he has a "team of people out there," and that the investigation is active and ongoing. He said more information would likely not be released until late Monday afternoon or evening.
