Bolton Refuge House holds Day of Unity

(WEAU) - The Bolton Refuge House held a Day of Unity Tuesday.

It was an effort to take a stand against domestic violence. The Executive Director of the Bolton Refuge House, Pat Stein says that they are able to help the victims that come to them, but it's everyone's responsibility to try and stop the problem before it happens. "We are a very small piece of the pie in ending domestic violence and we need all systems, all community members to accept that it's happening, to take responsibility that it’s happening, and don’t be silent about the violence that they may even have seen,” Stein told us Monday.

At the event, there was a silent auction, free food, children's activities and a candle-lit vigil.
