Bolton Refuge says goodbye to longtime executive director

(WEAU) - The Executive Director of the Bolton Refuge House has stepped down after 26 years.

Gerry Wilkie says he has mixed emotions about retiring but will continue to be involved in the community and volunteer on the community board. Wilkie is being replaced by Pat Stein, who also has been working with Bolton Refuge for about 15 years.

Wilkie told us Monday he is leaving “with good feelings knowing that there's a very strong staff." Meanwhile Stein said she’s “had the privilege of working with Gerry since '96 so I know his style and I'm happy to carry through what he's already done."

Pat took over for Gerry Monday. His last day was on Friday.
