Bond set for driver charged in fatal semi vs. semi crash

(WEAU) - Bond was set at $20,000 for a semi driver charged in a crash that killed another semi driver on Interstate 94 near Menomonie.

Destry Wilson, 22, of Redding, California faces 3 counts including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, Wilson admitted to smoking "spice," which is synthetic marijuana, before the crash Tuesday night.

Brian Lee Paglusch, 43, from Minnesota was killed.

Troopers say Paglusch was driving the semi in the westbound lane of I-94 when he rear-ended Wilson's semi, causing a fire between both vehicles. Paglusch died at the scene.

Witnesses say Wilson’s semi was stopped in the right lane when he was hit, but Wilson claims he was going 60 to 65 miles per hour.
