TAYLOR COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A bond has been set for the man accused of hitting two hunters with his car in Taylor County late last month.
A $50,000 cash bond has been set for James Winchel, 42, of Sheldon.
Online court records show Winchel has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and OWI causing injury.
He's accused of hitting two hunters on the western edge of Taylor County last month.
Deputies say one of the hunters, Juan Salinas, 52, of Illinois died at the scene, and the other hunter was taken to a hospital in Wausau with leg injuries.
