Boy sets up Kool-Aid stand to raise money for Stanley Theatre

STANLEY, Wis. (WEAU)-- A Stanley boy is helping to raise money for the Theatre there.

10-year-old Garrett Sonnentag set up a Kool-Aid and cookie stand Thursday.

The Stanley Theatre needs to raise $60,000 by July 21st for technology upgrades, or they will have to close.

Garrett's mom tells WEAU Garrett came up with the idea after seeing her and her husband donate some money. She says Garrett wanted to help too.

He set up the stand around noon Thursday and by the end of the day, had raised $66.

As of Friday morning, the theater had raised $57,245, just a few thousand dollars short of their goal. If you'd like to help, click on the attached link.
