Boys and Girls Club has grand opening at new Chippewa Falls center

The Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley had its grand opening at the new Chippewa Falls center Thursday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held and the public was invited to take a tour.

The Boys and Girls Club was started locally in 2004, with centers in Eau Claire and Black River Falls. This is the first center to open in Chippewa Falls.

"We've been working on this for a couple years now and the community has just stepped up, so many individuals and corporations, its been amazing. The support here for the club is incredible," said Sara Antonson, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley Executive Director.

The Boys and Girls Club offers programing, activities and meals for kids ages eight to 18.
