Before a bride and groom got settled down to start spreading their wings they helped a bald eagle spread his.
Saturday afternoon during their special day Kyle and Gina Smith took some time to release this bald eagle back into the wild. The 10-to-15 year old male eagle was found near Tomahawk with a broken wing and lead poisoning this past winter.
The couple says they love the outdoors and say this was a great way to symbolize their love.
"We were looking for a good omen and knowing he was going to go fly free again and not have to be in captivity that was what were excited for," says Bride Gina Smith.
The eagle was released in Eau Claire near the Florian Gardens. It was rehabbed by the Raptor Education Group out of Antigo Wisconsin.
