Eau Claire area Burger King locations are wrapping up a donation drive to help military families in need.
Through Dec. 7, the restaurants will accept donations of $1 or more to go to the Unmet Needs program. In its seventh year, Burger King has collected more than $2 million for the program.
Unmet Needs helps service members and their families with emergency grants for rent, mortgage and utility payments, medical expenses and groceries along with other expenses.
Since 2004, the program has provided approximately $4.7 million to help service members.
Anyone who makes a donation will receive a coupon for a menu item at Burger King.
