Burke touts jobs plan at stops in western Wisconsin

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- Democratic candidate for governor, Mary Burke was in our area Wednesday to discuss her 'Invest for Success' jobs plan.

Burke made stops at Realityworks in Eau Claire and Western Technical College in La Crosse. The candidate says she is committed to making Wisconsin a top ten economy in the nation.

Burke says her jobs plan focuses on creating more good paying jobs and making sure people have the skills to fill those jobs.

“In my invest for success plan I lay out how companies like Realityworks have the capital to expand. I lay out how companies will be able to get the workforce and work with our technical colleges to get research to move forward,” Burke said.

Yesterday, Governor Scott Walker made several stops around the state announcing he is launching his re-election campaign.

Governor Walker says he deserves re-election for cutting taxes by nearly $2-billion and adding more than 100,000 private sector jobs.
