WHITEHALL, Wis. (WEAU) - The case against the woman accused of First Degree Reckless Homicide in the death of a toddler will proceed.

Court records show that a judge bound Amanda Butts, 22, of Fairchild over for trial on Monday. The judge found probable cause that a crime was committed in the death of 22-month-old Alexis Behlke. She died in June.

The medical examiner says Behlke died from acute intoxication from the combined effects of oxycodone, an antihistamine and an anti-depressant. Investigators found bruises on the child's body, and blunt force trauma to her head, chest, arms, and legs.

Butts is scheduled to be back in court in September.
