COMMUNITY FIRST: Letter carriers to take part in Stamp Out Hunger effort Saturday

By  |

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - On Saturday, you can help feed the hungry without even leaving your home.

Letter carriers throughout Wisconsin and the country will collect non-perishable food items left by mailboxes and in post offices. Those items will go directly to local food banks, pantries, and shelters. The Stamp Out Hunger drive happens every second Saturday in May.

More than 10,000 cities and towns participate. They're hoping to help the more than 50,000,000 people facing hunger each day in America.
