COUNTRY JAM 2013: Pre-Jam Campground party kickoff Country Jam

TOWN OF UNION, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Pre-Jam Campground Party kicked off Country Jam USA on Wednesday night with the LoCash Cowboys performing.

New this year, a campsite contest with the theme of 'America the Beautiful'. Winners got a meet and greet pass for LoCash Cowboys, Skybox seats and much more.

"This is Christmas in July," said Rena Rogers who had a campsite that was decorates to match the theme. "We got our tickets for Christmas this year so we celebrate Christmas."

Pauline Groen has been attending Jam since 1991.

"Now we have four campsites we put together, we put a tarp on so we don't get rained on, we keep cool and people who find us can party with us," said Groen.

Coming up on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., join Country Jam for the Pancake Breakfast in the Whispering Pines Campground. It starts at 9:00 am. Breakfast is $5.00 per plate. All proceeds go to the Township Fire Union Station.
